About the Symposium

The Asia-Pacific Symposium on Microscale Separations and Analysis (APCE) has been held on ten previous occasions at locations around the Asia-Pacific region.  In 2011, the symposium will move for the first time to Australia and will be held at the University of Tasmania, Hobart, Tasmania.  Organisation of the meeting will be conducted by the Australian Centre for Research on Separation Science (ACROSS), which is a coordinated network of research-based separation scientists working across Australia.

The scope of the meeting has broadened considerably over the years and now covers:

  • Capillary and microchip electrophoresis
  • Multidimensional separations, including gas chromatography
  • Micro and nanoscale HPLC
  • Microfluidics
  • Hyphenated techniques, especially with mass spectrometry
  • Novel instrumentation
  • Sample treatment
  • Applications

The Symposium will run over three days and the program will include:

  • Invited plenary and keynote lectures
  • Regular contributed lectures
  • Posters
