ASASS - ACROSS Symposium on Advances in Separation Science

Welcome

The Australian Centre for Research on Separation Science (ACROSS) is hosting a two day international symposium on Advances in Separation Science and welcomes separation scientists to the official conference website. This conference follows on from the success of Chromatography 2006 which was held in Sydney in July 2006 and will focus on all areas of separation science and include a number of themed sessions. As such, this symposium aims to target enthusiastic academics, researchers, PhD students, government and private sector scientists and extension agents.

The conference will offer a varied program showcasing original research that illustrates why this is such an important field of study. Many papers are oriented to exploring the cutting edges of theory; while others are focused on chromatographic and electrophoretic analysis, flow injection analysis, microchip applications, stationary phase development, proteomics and genomics, detection, environmental analysis, chemometrics, theory and modelling, pharmaceutical analysis, etc.

Delegates come from all over Australia, the UK, Ireland, USA, Belgium, Italy, Austria, and the Netherlands; from state and Commonwealth agencies, and include a number of highly promising postgraduate and early career research colleagues.

The main drawcards for this international conference revolve the list of high profile speakers invited to present at this event. The opportunity created at this conference is unprecedented in Australia, since in order to hear all these eminent researchers in one location travel to Europe or North America for a major conference would be required. What we have organised is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear 10-15 of the best researchers talk at a local conference.

The conference organising committee includes Dr Greg Dicinoski, Dr Emily Hilder and Dr Robert Shellie.

Conference dates are Monday 8th of December 2008 to Wednesday 10th of December 2008.
